History

Its history parallels the of the Foundation Cesar Egido Serrano. With the convening of the first edition of the prize international of Microfiction Museo de la Palabra, began a journey of national and international presence.

The seat of the Museo de la Palabra was opened by the President of Castilla - La Mancha, José María Barreda, on November 23, 2009. This same day took delivery of the first edition of the "Prix international de Microrrelatos Museum of the word" and the date happens to be claimed as international day of the word (International Day of Words).
The second edition of the prize was handed over by the President of the community of Castilla - La Mancha, María Dolores Cospedal on May 9, 2012.

Located in Quero (Toledo), in the heart of Don Quixote of Mancha, the Museo de la Palabra stands on a Palace of Renaissance trace, Castilian roots. It is there, in the place where they leave the roads of the adventures of Don Quixote, with desire to permanent host few adventures of communication attempt to configure a wider, more dialogical world.

Located in the heart of the cervantine geography -little more than one hour from Madrid-, it has infrastructure suitable for the fulfilment of its purposes. In the Museo de la Palabra nothing is exposed. The real Museum work will be that which is realized as a result of the communication of people of different cultures, ideas and beliefs.

In its facade, in a stone Ashlar of more than one ton of weight, the motto of the Museum can be read: "the word is the bond of humanity", Spanish, English, Arabic and Hebrew.
